There’s Something in Front of the Moon!

June 26, 2010. 10:35 PM. Gran View campground, White Mountain Road, 5 miles north of highway 168 in California. This is what I saw:
About 30 minutes after the moonrise I walked from my campsite. I stopped in my tracks when I noticed something different about the moon (it was a little more than 1 1/2 day after full). There was a rectangular object in front of the moon. I said out loud \”there’s something in front of the moon!\” It was approximately 1/8 – 1/6th the length of the diameter of the moon, rectangular, but larger on the left side. It appeared at approximately 2 o’clock in reference to the moon face. I watched as it moved slowly horizontally to the north (left). Soon I noticed another object entering. It was slightly above and to the right of the first object. It was also rectangular, but smaller without any variation in form- more symmetrical. The two objects move horizontally to the north (my left) and then when just below center-top against the surface of the moon the two objects began to descend towards 6 o’clock against the surface. Because of the brightness of the moon, I could only see the objects as they crossed. The next day, I returned again to the exact spot to make sure there were not any objects such as radio towers or solar panels that could have made the impression. There were no objects or towers nearby. The angle of the movement from northward horizontal to downward against the face of the moon verifies to me that the objects were in fact moving, and not just appearing to be passing along the surface of the rising moon. I do not know how large the objects were, or how far away they were. My gut feeling however was that they were quite far away- perhaps tens of miles or more. My initial sense was that when I saw the first object it was outside the atmosphere and the two objects descended without any noise or appearance of atmospheric disturbance. I observed the two objects for approximately 1-2 minutes as they were visible against the surface of the moon.  During the day, from this location at 8560′ elevation, there is a clear view east of the mountain ranges of Nevada… at the edge of the Great Basin.
